Founder + Lead Designer
Dani Shaw is a professional Web Designer with 26 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining web sites. Dani has developed hundreds of web sites covering a wide spectrum of needs and requirements including responsive WordPress sites, online learning portals, enhanced landing pages, content management systems, e-commerce stores, and much more. Daily kaleidaweb duties include overseeing WordPress web design projects, consulting current + prospective clients, and leading the maintenance team caring for those sites enrolled in a plan.
Dani designed their first web site on Geocities during their college years in 1996. Here’s an an early fan page from 1999 that Dani designed, still alive on free servers. This web site is the HTML foundation of Shaw’s web design career. Since then, they have continued to grow in the field while staying on the cutting-edge of the latest web design trends and technology.
In 2003 WordPress launched and Dani was on the quest to learn as much as they could about the CMS. It quickly became the most popular Content Management System in the world with hundreds of thousands of templates on millions of web sites. In editing and creating from scratch many different sites through the years they’re constantly learning on the fly and adapting.
kaleidaweb was created in 2021 to expand on services provided and to create a team of professionals, creatives + resources for clients.
Proudly listed on Underrepresented in Tech… Dani has prioritized diversifying the web since day one.
Dani is also a Technical Editor for one of the largest computer textbook publishers, Cengage Learning since 2001. Titles include operating systems, web design, networking, Office, and programming content. During edits, Dani works very closely with Authors, Development Editors, and Product Managers helping maintain a very high standard of quality in their content, typically performing multiple passes on a book to ensure a textbook, online exam, or lab is error-free and on point. The majority of the published titles Dani has worked on are listed in the Computing & Information Technology section at Cengage Learning.
Dani’s marriage of Web Design + Maintenance with Tech Editing work at Cengage Learning keeps them constantly learning and testing new technology, especially in the applications and software department. Dani has the fortunate opportunity to work on beta software, learning upcoming and current applications before they are released to the public.

Listen while we work…
From Dani: Music is present in all aspects of my life, most especially my career. I always have something on when I’m coding or designing. It helps me focus. Here’s my running work mixtape including some of my favorites new and old. All of my other playlists are up on my Spotify profile, and I’m always looking for new tunes, so give me a follow if you’re on there.
