Founder + Lead Designer

Dani Shaw is a professional Web Designer with 26 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining web sites. Dani has developed hundreds of web sites covering a wide spectrum of needs and requirements including responsive WordPress sites, online learning portals, enhanced landing pages, content management systems, e-commerce stores, and much more.

Daily kaleidaweb duties include overseeing WordPress web design projects, consulting current + prospective clients, and leading the maintenance team caring for those sites enrolled in a plan.

Dani designed their first web site on Geocities during their college years in 1996. Here’s an an early fan page from 1999 that Dani designed, still alive on free servers. This web site is the HTML foundation of Shaw’s web design career. Since then, they have continued to grow in the field while staying on the cutting-edge of the latest web design trends and technology.

In 2003 WordPress launched and Dani was on the quest to learn as much as they could about the CMS. It quickly became the most popular Content Management System in the world with hundreds of thousands of templates on millions of web sites. In editing and creating from scratch many different sites through the years they’re constantly learning on the fly and adapting.

kaleidaweb was created in 2021 to expand on services provided and to create a team of professionals, creatives + resources for clients.

Dani is also a Technical Editor for one of the largest computer textbook publishers, Cengage Learning since 2001.  Titles include operating systems, web design, networking, Office, and programming content. During edits, Dani works very closely with Authors, Development Editors, and Product Managers helping maintain a very high standard of quality in their content, typically performing multiple passes on a book to ensure a textbook, online exam, or lab is error-free and on point. The majority of the published titles Dani has worked on are listed in the Computing & Information Technology section at Cengage Learning.

Dani’s marriage of Web Design + Maintenance with Tech Editing work at Cengage Learning keeps them constantly learning and testing new technology, especially in the applications and software department. Dani has the fortunate opportunity to work on beta software, learning upcoming and current applications before they are released to the public.

I heartily recommend KaleidaWeb to artisans and others looking to improve their presence on the web!Danielle Shaw did a fantastic job remaking odohertymoore.com. The site had been cobbled together over more than a decade and had outgrown itself. It needed technical help to improve the speed and integration of a store and other elements.I was impressed with how much she knows about everything WordPress — she clearly knows her stuff! One of the great things about working with Dani is not only does she respond to questions quickly, but she also is very organized. Redesigning a website involves lots of little details and Dani made it easy to navigate those. She employed software tools we used on either end to coordinate the back and forth of comments, image postings, file sharing and the like. She has developed a clear process on how to get from concept to conclusion.Dani redesigned... the site’s look and feel. I was impressed by her graphics acumen and willingness to suggest changes that were aesthetically on the mark. All of this led to the creation of a website that functions well and looks good.read more

Danielle Shaw did a complete creation and redesign of our WordPress web page for our law office. Our project was, at times, very challenging and all the issues were handled with complete professionalism and utmost speed. The creativity in building the site completely matched what we were expecting with very little input on our part. We have been so pleased with the work that we are continuing on a monthly maintenance contract basis. I would highly and unequivocally recommend Danielle Shaw's Web Design services. We are looking forward to continuing to grow our business with the assistance of Danielle Shaw.

Working with Danielle on my website re-design was an absolute pleasure. I searched extensively to find someone local, responsive, professional, and with a good eye for a design that would look great and be easy to navigate, too. Not only did Danielle meet all of my expectations, she far exceeded them in every way. She was knowledgeable and patient, and I am thrilled with the outcome. I have gotten very positive feedback from clients, and can’t thank you enough Danielle!

We have been so fortunate to work with Danielle Shaw on our Wonder of Learning website, communication, and design. Not only is she talented, responsive and professional; she also shares an incredible gift for understanding the goals of the project, appreciating the vision and communicating the objectives so thoughtfully. She really took the time to realize our hopes and intention. As a result, we could not be more satisfied with the initial results, and the way that she continues to help us improve. Thanks to our work with Danielle, our efforts have been more effective and meaningful.

Danielle has helped us to substantially grow our 26 year old company’s customer base since we hired her to design and develop our website over 10 years ago. We often get high compliments from potential clients regarding our outstanding website, which they assure us was the very reason they chose New Life Upholstery to meet their decorating needs. She has a fabulous sense of design, and the business savvy to keep us at the cutting edge of advertising by advising and assisting us in changing with the times. We have the highest of regard for Danielle, and can recommend her and her company without reservation.– Steve & Sheila, New Life Upholstery via Susan Shaw

Danielle Shaw is nothing less than a super star. I have worked with her for 15 years at Cengage Learning where she has accomplished every task I have ever put in front of her. She has a skill set of a technical person who has been Technically editing every computer related text book Cengage has ever put out, ranging from Microsoft Office to Computer Forensics. I would make an attempt to list all her skills but (Network Security, Graphic Design, Mac, PC, Ethical Hacking, Adobe, Windows, Red Hat, any OS...list goes on). Her biggest strength in using these skills is that she not only takes direction extremely well, but she has an imagination that consistently brings it to the next level. She has her own Web design company, and has actually developed my company's Web site. Danielle is nothing but a professional and I hope to keep working with her in any capacity.

Soon after opening my own practice (I am a massage therapist), I reached out to Danielle regarding a web presence for my business - which was one of the best business decisions I have ever made.Danielle got to know me - and my fledgling business - and grasped very quickly the "vibe," content, and features that I needed to stand out from my competition. Her response to questions, changes and ideas is consistently timely and with great insight, and her ongoing site hosting is seamless. Her handling of those little bugs that pop up now and then in technology (no matter how silly from me, someone super tech-impaired ) are always handled with an urgency that only echoes her dedication and passion to her work -- and clients!I have had many clients tell me that they chose me because I "had the best, most professional website on the North Shore" when compared to competition, and I've even... had techie clients ask who does my SEO and website because they were so impressed with my ranking in Google! We just went through a site redesign, and Danielle once again impressed me with just how much she has kept up with the trends in this space since the first site was built. I LOVE my new site…and so do my clients.I honestly can't say enough - Danielle has literally helped to build my business over the last 5 years!read more
